artists work
The artist I had was Frank Stella
1) ideas used
- clean lines and white strips in between
- Large single colored shapes
- Very abstract work
- All lines parallel to another
2) I used craftmanship in making sure all the shapes were painted evenly. I really don't like painted but I worked very hard and tried my best and I do think it looks very good. I tried to make the lines clean and lined up with another.
3) The most difficult part of the project was making sure all the lines were parallel and straight. Another issue is when I ran out of color I had to go and mix some more paint and it was very difficult to get the same colors as before.
4) My color choices reflect Frank Stella because he used all plain bright colors and they remained the same throughout the peice. I also used a lot of white paint to show the edges of the shapes just like he did.
5) The style of using shapes to mimic objects was very much like Frank Stella. I made everything look abstract as he did but also keep with the same shapes and lines like he did.
6) I think Frank would think highly of it because it is similar to his but with my own twist. He always likes people to use his ideas but disliked people that copied his work.
7) If I could do this project again I would mix a lot more color and make sure I paint more on when I am painting. This is because I had to go over what I had already painted multiple times to make it look clean and nice.
